We are in the Department of Molecular Biology, part of the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources at the University of Wyoming. We are also a member of the Molecular and Cellular Life Sciences Program.
Our research seeks to uncover the molecular basis of disease. How do defects that occur at the level of molecules and cells translate across tissues and organs to affect an organism's physiology and development? Our lab attempts to answer this question using the fruit fly, Drosophila melanogaster. We utilize techniques from classic and molecular genetics, cell and developmental biology, biochemistry, and high resolution imaging to connect biological mechanisms from the nanoscale to the macroscale.
Cool Stuff We Do
